FIA GT1 World Championship

Round 7 – Portimao, Portugal Sunday 19 September 2010 The championship race of round seven of the FIA GT1 World Championship  moved Sumo Power GT team to third place in the Team’s World Championship with a Nissan GTR powered by a V8 VK56DE!

Transmission and adaptor plate arrived

The biggest issue with the VK56DE is that the engine never came with a manual transmission. I researched and found a company called Wilcap that made an adaptor plate for the 6spd 350z/g35 trans to bolt up to the VK engine. VK56DE has arrived!

On June 4th the VK56DE Infiniti QX56 V8 engine was delivered to E-Shift Performance in Cliffwood Beach NJ. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle that is needed to start the project.
